International Jazz Day 2025 was celebrated on April 30 in over 190 countries, with Abu Dhabi serving as the Global Host City. Organized by UNESCO and the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, the event featured concerts, educational activities, and cultural programs across the globe.  The All-Star Global Concert streamed live at 4 PM ET on UNTV, UNESCO, jazzday.com, Facebook, YouTube, and other major platforms, reaching millions worldwide.The stellar lineup included Herbie Hancock, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Janis Siegel, Dianne Reeves, Terri Lyne Carrington, Emmet Cohen, Kurt Elling, Marcus Miller, Arturo Sandoval, John Patitucci, Tia Fuller, John Pizzarelli, and more.Janis Siegel, founding member of The Manhattan Transfer, showcased her powerful voice and decades-long influence on jazz and pop. She also co-hosts Singers Unlimited and Vocal Gumbo.John Pizzarelli delivered his signature interpretations of the Great American Songbook and beyond. With over 30 albums and collaborations with top artists, he continues to be a beloved figure in jazz. He co-hosts Radio Deluxe with his wife, Jessica Molaskey.
